SSL certificates available for your website

In our ongoing effort to provide the best website experience that we can, we will be implementing free SSL certificates for all Redframe websites.

The main difference that you will notice is a little green padlock in the browser address bar which will signal visitors to your website that information sent to and from this website will be encrypted. Having your website display the secure icon is a positive development. It allows your website visitors to feel confident that their information is secure and that confidence is an important part of your business identity. More obviously, without the SSL certificate attached to your domain and website, browsers will more obviously flag your website as being a security risk – which is not the impression you want to make. There is also a possibility that non-SSL compliant websites will be penalized by popular search engines.

SSL (secure sockets layer)  is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private. It’s kind of like sealing a letter in an envelope before sending it through the mail.

We have taken care of all the technical issues needed to offer this enhanced level of security. Once implemented, your website will automatically be delivered to visitors through https protocol and see the secure version of your website.  One less thing to worry about so that you can keep concentrating on creating great content to put on your website. Have a great day.
